Collaboration II

Summer Villa Refurbishment

In collaboration with Mutiny architecture & design – we worked together on the full refurbishment of a 330 sq.m summer villa in Sounio.

The clients wanted a total makeover of both their interior and exterior spaces. The project brief included ‘open spaces’ interiorly where the family can gather, bedroom upgrades, the creation of an extra auxiliary room, neutral tones and natural materials throughout, in addition to a total refurbishment of the kitchens and bathrooms.

Exteriorly, a pool and extra lounging areas were added. The villa is re-deigned to reflect the owner’s taste and lifestyle, for this, many custom furniture pieces were created including custom kitchen cabinets, closets, shelving and bookcases, modern bar corners and more. Leading with modern simplicity, we applied the same oak wood throughout the home. For contrast, a lot of the hardware and lighting fixtures were chosen to be in anthracite and black tones. An oak wood herringbone floor replaces the old floor tiles of the common living areas adding a touch of classic charm to the space. Finally, by re-working the floor plan of the 1st floor we were able to add a 4th room to the house as per the family’s request, to be used as a personal home office.
